Friday June 20th 2025

Our grade 6 students are beginning the final weeks of their journey here at Morse. The Grade 6 Graduation ceremony will take place on Friday June 20th in the afternoon in the school gym. We anticipate that 4 people from each household will be able to attend the ceremony. Be sure to read Moose News to stay up to date.

Schedule

Here’s a schedule of what happens when, to help families prepare for the big day!

• 12:25pm students are expected in their class lineups in the yard, as usual

• 12:30pm doors open for seating

• 12:40pm Graduate Parade

  • Graduates parade inside the school (this is for students only, not families)

• 1:00pm Processional starts and graduates enter the gym

• 1:05pm - 2:45pm

  • Welcome remarks by the Principal

  • Speeches by the teachers and students

  • Presentation of graduate certificates

• 2:45pm - 5:00pm Party on the Field

  • Please join the party for pizza, music, sweets and a photo station!

Merchandise

Pre-sales for graduation merchandise are now closed. Orders will be delivered mid-June. Merch will NOT be available for purchase at the Graduation Celebration.

Call for Volunteers

A small team of volunteers is needed to organize and host this wonderful event. Traditionally, parents of grade 5 students volunteer their time at Grade 6 graduation so that graduates’ parents can simply enjoy the ceremony and festivities. Any parents however are welcome to volunteer. Please contact Anushka directly to coordinate: morsecouncil@gmail.com.
