Annual Day of Pink Bake Sale

What an incredible day! Our school was buzzing with energy on Wednesday as students and staff came together for our Day of Pink Bake Sale. From the moment the sale began, there was a steady line of students eager to choose from an amazing selection of homemade treats, all in support of kindness, inclusion, and belonging.

This event would not have been possible without the generosity of our families, parent volunteers, and student leaders. The wide variety of baked goods and the time dedicated to organizing and running the sale created a joyful, community-centered atmosphere that reflected the spirit of Day of Pink.

We are proud to share that, thanks to this participation, we raised just under $1,700. All proceeds will be donated to LGBT YouthLine, supporting initiatives that promote equity, acceptance, and safe, inclusive spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.

Grade 6 Grad: Spring Book Sale
Wednesday, April 22nd at 5:30pm in the Gym

We’re excited to announce our Spring Book Sale in support of Grade 6 graduation and Earth Week! The sale will take place on April 22nd alongside the Eco Club Movie Night—families are encouraged to attend both.

As part of our “spring cleaning” theme, we are collecting gently used books to give them a second life. We welcome items in good, clean condition, including children’s and adult books (fiction and non-fiction), cookbooks, magazines, and comic books.

Donations will be accepted until April 14th and can be placed in the collection box in the school lobby.

Thank you for supporting sustainability, our graduating students, and a love of reading in our school community!

Eco Club Movie Night: The Lorax
Wednesday, April 22nd at 5:30pm in the Gym

To celebrate Earth Day, the Eco Club is excited to host a special screening of The Lorax! This event is a chance for our school community to come together for an evening that is both fun and meaningful, as we explore important themes around environmental responsibility, sustainability, and caring for the world around us.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and snacks in reusable containers as part of our ongoing efforts to reduce waste and make environmentally conscious choices. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxed evening together while reinforcing the values we are learning about through Eco Club initiatives at school.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. More details will be shared in the coming weeks—we hope you can join us for this special community event!

POSTPONED! New Date TBA
Parent Presentation: An Evening with Duane Gibson

Together, we can empower our children to stand up for one another and build a community rooted in kindness and respect. Parents are invited to an Anti-Bullying Presentation on a soon to be announced date in the library at Morse Street Junior Public School. The session will be led by Duane 'D.O.' Gibson, a JUNO-nominated artist and award-winning motivational speaker who has presented to over one million students across Canada.

Through engaging storytelling and music, he shares powerful messages about respect, resilience, empathy, and making positive choices. We hope you can join us for this meaningful and inspiring evening.
